Influence of Different Proportion Intercropping on Oat and Common Vetch Yields and Nutritional Composition at Different Growth Stages

چکیده

Crop yield mainly depends on environment and cultivation practices that vary according to a growing environment. However, an oat (Avena sativa L.)-common vetch (Vicia L.) intercrop system has not been fully developed in the agro-pastoral ecotone of Inner Mongolia, China. This study evaluated effects seven treatments, including five oat-common intercropping patterns, sole oat, quality performance at different growth periods [75 days after sowing (DAS), 90 DAS, 105 DAS], basis field experiments conducted Mongolia 2015 2016. The OV3:1 (oat intercropped with common seeding ratios 3:1) treatment DAS 2016 was superior other as it achieved highest shoot dry matter, increasing by 24.1% 37.1% compared vetch. crude fat (CF) contents, CF yield, protein (CP) increased under OV3:1, acid detergent fiber (ADF) decreased monoculture. results indicate is efficient cropping for Mongolia. appropriate proportion 3:1 harvesting time only increases crop but also improves quality.

Yields and chemical composition of different parts of the common vetch at flowering and at two seed filling stages

In annual forage legumes such as the common vetch (Vicia sativa L.), in which the pods represent a substantial proportion of the total biomass, the optimum harvesting stage may not adjust to the classical model of decreasing nutritive value after flowering. The effect of harvest time on the yield of the main chemical components of common vetch was evaluated under field conditions typical of the...

Gene expression and activity of phenyl alanine amonialyase and essential oil composition of Ocimum basilicum L. at different growth stages

Phenylalanine amonia-lyase (PAL) is one of the most important enzymes that plays a key role in regulationof phenylpropanoid production in plants. It catalyzes the first step of the phenylpropanoid pathway in whichL-phenylalanine is deaminated to trans-cinnamic acid. This step is significant for metabolic engineering andhyper-expression of the major phenylpropanoid, methyl chav...

Salinity Effects on Mineral Nutrients and Performance of Turnip (Brassica Rapa L.) at Different Growth Stages

In order to study the effects of different salinity levels on turnip (Brassica rapa L.), an investigation was conducted at Yasouj University, Iran, in 2010. The effects of four salinity levels including 1.92, 9.87, 19.6 and 21.94 ds m-1 (20:1 ratio of NaCl: CaCl2 in Hoagland solution) on germination, vegetative and maturity stages of turnip (Baherghan landrace) were investigated. The results re...

Effects of ethephon on growth and yield of sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) at different growth stages

There is little information about the effects of ethephon ripening hormone on the yield of sweet sorghum in Thailand. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of ethephon hormone applied at different growth stages of three cultivars of sweet sorghum on its growth and yield. The experiment was conducted from December 2016 to May 2017 at a research plot of the Faculty of Agricultural Te...
